Step 2: Slipping Up The Saw Blade

But trust me, we highly recommend you wear gloves. As you are going to hold the blade with your hands, leather palm gloves are preferable.

First, get heavy leather palm gloves for the protection of your hands. Now, with your hands, you have to slip up the saw blade guard.

Step 3: Pulling The Throat Plate

Once you are done flipping the saw blade guard carefully, you have to move towards the blade-insert-throat-plate. So, get your hands on the throat plate.

There will be two different screws. Search for the screws and unscrew them. Use a screwdriver for unscrewing them.

Make sure that you have kept the screws in a safe place because you will need them after you install the new saw blade. Once the screws are taken off, you can easily pull the plate up and take it out of the way.

Step 4: Setting The Height Adjustment

After you are done with the plate, you have to check the blade. With the help of your hands, take the blade up.

You have to move the blade up to its highest position. You cannot do it without the help of the control wheel. Search for the blade height adjustment settings.

Check the front part of the saw and you will get the settings option. Once you find the settings wheel, you have to set the blade height adjustment to the highest.

Step 5: Loosening The Arbor Nut

When you have taken the blade up to its highest position, you have to check the front part of the saw again. Stay in the front and hold the blade with your hands.

Do not hold it without proper gloves. It is time to add an arbor nut wrench with it. Add it carefully onto the arbor nut.

On the contrary, you can also rely on any box-end wrench that fits perfectly or is appropriate for it.

After you add the arbor nut wrench onto the arbor nut, you are ready to pull it. Pull the wrench towards your direction.

This will help is loosening the arbor nut. This will take some time and so, you have to keep pulling it until the arbor nut is loosened.

Step 6: Unscrewing The Arbor Nut

After loosening the arbor nut, you have to unscrew it. Before trying to unscrew it, Check if the nut is sufficiently loosened by the wrench or not.

Once you get sure, you have to take screwdrivers and unscrew the nut with care.

Step 7: Placing The New Blade

After unscrewing, the nut will be open for you. You have to remove the nut and then, check the flange washer.

The work of the flange washer here is to hold the blade on the arbor shaft. Along with the nut, you have to take off the flange washer too.

Once you are done with detaching the flange washer, go through the blade.

You must pull the blade off first. After pulling it out, you can easily place the new one without any discomfort.

Step 8: Replacing The Flange Washer

After you have placed the new blade carefully, you have to search for the sawdust.

As you are working with a saw, sawdust is a must. You have to shop brush away the dust first.

Use a brush for this process. There might be wood pieces around the nut shaft you. You must remove it too.

When you have cleaned the sawdust and wood pieces surrounding the arbor nut shaft, you can place the flange washer in its right place.

Take it on your hands and position it in the place it was before. Placing it on the arbor shaft, you have to set the nut there. At first, use your hand and hand-twist the nut to provide primary safety.

Step 9: Tightening The Arbor Nut

After you have tightened the nut with your hand, you must ensure that the nut stays in its right place. You need to tighten the arbor nut a bit more.

For this, first, you need to hold the blade properly. Then, push the wrench away from you.

You have pulled it towards you before while loosening. And so, to tighten it, you have to push it away from you.

It is that simple, my friend! Keep holding the blade when you are pushing it away from you. Do not loosen the grip rather make it firm.

Step 10: Replacing Blade Insert Throat Plate

Now you have already tightened the arbor nut by pushing it away from you. After it is properly tightened, you can replace the blade-insert-throat-plate just the way you had taken it out before.

Replace the blade-insert-throat-plate in its correct position once again. You are almost done.

All you have to do is hold the blade fence and take it down once again!
